An inability to get pregnant after women has tried to get pregnant for 12 months without protected sex is called infertility. There are many possible causes of infertility. But it is very difficult to determine the exact cause for the same. Many factors can increase a woman’s risk of infertility like age, being underweight, having low body fat, tumours, smoking, hormonal issues etc. Age however is becoming the most common factor for infertility, as women wait to have children till the age of 30s and 40s.Lifestyle modifications, such as reducing alcohol consumption and quitting smoking, may be beneficial to one’s fertility, as is maintaining a healthy weight and developing good exercise habits.
